keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle

it's a good thing I like roller coasters.
or I would be motion sick right now.

it's like the last couple weeks of july are the tracks pointed up
and you are just waiting and preparing for the fun to begin.
but you're still a little nervous. the butterflies are nagging your tummy.
but you are too dang excited.

and then you get to the top.
you look down and all of the sudden.
you're not ready.
but it lurches forward any way.
and for that moment,
you are terrified.

terrified your best friend is moving, terrified of high school,
purely terrified.
so terrified you start screaming.
but then. that turns into laughter.

and all of the sudden. the ride is bliss.
your heart is in your stomach,
and you have butterflies all over,
and you are having a blast.
you aren't scared anymore.

it's a good thing I like roller coasters.

it's going to get better.

That's the spirit! By the way it's funny how many blog posts I've read today about starting a new school or stuff, but I guess that's the way it goes when the school indeed is starting in a matter of days.
